The Security Operatives of the Joint Task Force (JTF),on Monday,engaged in a heavy gun-battle with site-at-home enforcers in Awka North Local Government Area (LGA) of Anambra state.
It can be recalled that the Indigenous People of Biafra,IPOB,instituted a site-at-home exercise to be held every Monday in the entire South-East in protest of the continued detention of its leader,Nnamdi Kanu.
According to a statement released on Tuesday by Ikenga Tochukwu,the police spokesperson in Anambra,the site-at-home enforcers had disrupted trading activities at the Achalla market the previous Monday,compelling traders to adhere to the directive.
Tochukwu further revealed that while many of the fleeing hoodlum sustained injuries of varying degrees,the Joint Task Force Operatives managed to recover several items from them,including vehicles and firearms.
