Armed operatives of the Department of state service (DSS) has stormed the Supreme Court ahead of the highly anticipated judgment of Nnamdi Kalu,the leader of indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB).
Politics Nigeria gathered that the roads leading to a court and the nearby villa gate were sealed off by DSS personal,leaving only deemed “essential “ to the proceeding able to pass.
The journalists with the official Supreme Court tags were initially turned back without explanation. However,it took the intervention ranking court officials to secure access to news media.
An unmarked security vehicle blocked the main entrance, serving as makeshift point where journalists were scrutinized before being allowed in.
The judgment will determine whether Nnamdi Kanu who has been in DSS custody since June 2021,will be released or remain detained.
